1. BREAKFAST IN CHINATOWN

The best way to start off your day is to return to Chinatown for your breakfast. It became very lively in the morning as shops open very early in the morning, here you can find various traditional Chinese breakfast and snacks all around.

2. SENTOSA ISLAND

After breakfast at Chinatown, do come straight to Sentosa where you will spend the most of your day here. It a small island south of Singapore and can be reached by car, cable car or even on foot via the ‘broadwalk’.

Singapore, Singapore - A Complete Guide to Singapore By Locals! Part 2 | GRAB MY HANDS (13)

2.1 Sentosa Broadwalk

The cheapest way to get to Sentosa is by the broadwalk- it is a 10-15 minutes riverside walk from HarbourFront MRT station which I really recommend as you get to exercise and you get all the nice view of the island.

A quick rest enjoying the view along the way at Sentosa BroadwalkSingapore, Singapore - A Complete Guide to Singapore By Locals! Part 2 | GRAB MY HANDS (12)

2.2 Universal Studios Singapore

One of the main attractions here in Sentosa is the Universal Studios Singapore (USS), like other Universal Studios in Japan, the US etc., it is advised to spend at least half the day or one full day here. For those who don’t know Universal Studios is one of the most famous theme parks in the World  – it’s like Disneyland but for teenagers/adults. (Although there isn’t a minimum age restriction very small kids will be limited as most of the rides may not be suitable for children under 12 etc.).

2.3 S.E.A. Aquarium

This place is for everyone – it is an eye-opening experience and is well-worth the visit. Little kids will love this and adults will enjoy it as much – S.E.A. Aquarium is something you don’t want to miss in Sentosa!

2.4 Lunch at ONE°15 Marina Club (exclusive)

I was lucky enough to be able to come and enjoy the afternoon at this member-exclusive club thanks to my good friend (Thanks Pancake!). It is way too enjoyable not to include it here on the list although this place is unfortunately inaccessible unless you are a member or you know someone who is a member or you stay a night in their hotel here. ONE°15 Marina Club offers restaurants, gym, swimming pool, yacht parking space and much more!

2.5 Merlion Statue (original)

This is the original Merlion Statue as opposed to the one we saw in the Merlion Park yesterday. This one is really huge with almost 9 metres tall and you can also climb the stairs inside the statue up to its mouth area for a small fees.

2.6 MegaZip Zipline Sentosa

Still in Sentosa, for those who love more outdoor adventure like me, MegaZip Zipline Sentosa is for you. It is a Zipline from top of the hill down to the beach area on the other side – it is one of the my favourite activities in Sentosa.

The Luge originates from Queenstown, New Zealand – basically you take the skyride up the top of the hill and then you sledge down with a go-cart like machine!

2.8 Try Coconut Ice-cream

Since Singapore is always hot and humid throughout the year there is no excuse to not have a good ice-cream after especially a long day. Right next to the Luge ticket stall, you will find this lovely Coconut Ice Cream shop which I really recommend you to try.

3.3 Must-try: Chilli Crab at Jumbo Seafood

Chilli crab is one of the most famous Singaporean dish and  JUMBO seafood restaurant is very well-known for that! It is advised to book few days in advance as it can be very full. I unfortunately didn’t get to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked for the whole evening (as I went there over the weekend).

3.4 Dinner at Beer Market

Another place I recommend to try is the Beer Market Bar & Restaurant – what makes this bar & restaurant unique is that the beer price goes up and down like stock price hence the name Beer Market.

4. SINGAPORE NIGHT SAFARI

Another highlight of Singapore, Singapore Night Safari is suitable for all ages. You can take a walk through the woods or sit in a safari car while they take you around the zoo. As it was very dark at night and flash photography was prohibited I did not take photos of the animals but I must say I really did enjoy the night safari a lot (because I love nature and animals)! 🙂
